Μποϋκοτάζ στην Ισραηλινή φαρμακευτική εταιρεία Teva από Βρεττανούς φαρμακοποιούς για τον πόλεμο στη Γάζα... Οι Έλληνες φαρμακοποιοί; * Teva to be boycotted by UK pharmacists over Gaza conflict

Πρόκειται για την γνωστή στην χώρα μας εταιρία των σιωνιστών Teva, την εταιρία γενοσήμων που προώθησαν με τρέλα στην Ελλάδα οι Μόσιαλος, Λοβέρδος, Γεωργιάδης κι οι κυβερνήσεις ΝΔ-ΠΑΣΟΚ;

TEVA TO BE BOYCOTTED BY UK PHARMACISTS OVER GAZA CONFLICT
Pharmacists in the UK have started boycotting medicines produced by the Israel-based pharmaceutical company Teva over the conflict in Gaza.

The conflict, which has escalated in recent days, has seen the loss of Palestinian and Israeli lives and pharmacists have said they will not order any more products from Teva, which is headquartered in the Israeli city of Petah Tikva, until Israel stops its bombardment of Gaza.

Israel has been firm in its insistence that it has not targeted innocent civilians in the region but is striking at militants from Hamas, who have been firing rockets into Israel from areas densely populated by civilians.

Amjad Rehman, a pharmacist at Averroes Pharmacy in Bradford, one of nine pharmacies in the west Yorkshire-based pharmacy chain, told Pharmacy Business that he had made "a conscientious effort not to stock Teva lines on ethical grounds."

He also said many patients had told him they wanted alternative products if they were available.

"A lot of our patients are Asian and have asked not to have Teva products supplied to them," he said. "Patients have said 'is it possible to get another brand?'

"We have also made a conscientious effort not to stock Teva lines because of our ethical stance on the issue."

Rehman said Averroes Pharmacy chain was to conduct a meeting to decide if the decision not to stock Teva products would extend to its other eight pharmacies.

"I'm not sure if Teva supports Israel but if they do we will boycott Teva. We will have a meeting as a group on this."

The community pharmacy movement against Teva has gathered pace online, with the Boycottt Teva Facebook page attracting almost 4,000 likes and entries from pharmacists expressing their intention to boycott the largest generic drugs company in the world.

One pharmacist, Mohammed Asif, wrote: "Just phoned my pharmaceutical wholesaler today and asked them not to send us any medical products manufactured by the Israeli company Teva which has a large share in the UK market. They said they were looking into this because they have had many similar requests."

Teva told Pharmacy Business it was aware of the pharmacy boycott but said it would continue to provide "quality healthcare to patients around the world" and operate "at the highest ethical standards."

"We are aware of the boycott request you reference, however most pharmacists, doctors and patients are aware that we are a global pharmaceutical company focused on bringing quality healthcare to patients around the world," Teva said.

"We operate in over 60 countries, have over 45,000 employees around the world and we are committed to operating at the highest ethical standards."

The Boycott Teva Facebook group said it was started after "lengthy deliberations and consultations on the impact of the boycott on patients and the sector in general," but as the drugs shortage continues to blight community pharmacy and patients, the wisdom of boycotting a major drug manufacturer has to be severely questioned.

The group also claimed it is not "politically or religiously motivated," but that similarly raises the uneasy question of whether pharmacists should be mixing healthcare with politics, especially at at time when community pharmacy should be showing commissioners it is wholly focused on raising healthcare standards.
